Obama

Fri Nov 7, 2008, 9:01 PM
So, Obama has won the election...

I want to take this time to remind people that he is pro-choice and therefore a Catholic can not in good concience have voted for him...

Any thoughts at all on the subject?

I wouldn't have voted for Obama if I was able to vote. (I'm still in high school.)

I don't agree with almost all of his views, and it is unbelievable that many Catholics voted for them.

I am really afraid that the culture of death is going to spread in America...

I am really disappointed that he won the election. :(

Seriously, have the "Catholics for Choice" crowd really increased that much?

I didn't vote for Obama, and the majority in my town voted for McCain, but that town is in a state where the majority voted for Obama. Such is life.

I actually did not like McCain's politics generally. In my eyes he was simply the lesser of two evils.

The FOCA terrifies me, and Obama says he's going to try passing it first thing. Let's hope he doesn't

What scares me is the politicians that are Catholic AND support pro-choice ideas.

What scares me more is that they still go to Church and receive Communion. How can Priests and Eucharistic Ministers give out Holy Communion while knowing that the person receiving them openingly supports abortion?

O don't know if any of the Deviant Catholic members did the 40 Day fast to end abortion or the Novena for the election, but we need to remember that everything is in The Lord's will.

I think they have...

To many Catholics are not auctualy Catholic, they were never given an instruction in the depth of the faith beyond the age of 12 or so.

If Catholics understood the faith they would not turn their backs on it.

I didn't vote at all. I didn't like McCain or Obama.
I don't like that the government doesn't keep church and state apart.
I agree with ivoryleopard.

i'm catholic .....and i voted for obama.....
but seriously, i not going to let my reglion get in the way of who i'm gonna vote for, i mostly looked at their ideas to make this country better, i liked obama's more then mccain's. honesty, i didn't like either of them, but i wanted my voice to be heard and it was my first year i was able to vote, so i did it anyway.

Mcain is pro-life, therefore the correct vote for a catholic.

My brother is going to Iraq on Dec 1st. There's a reason I don't like McCain he would of kept my brother there. Like I said I wish somebody else would of ran other than those two.
